The name of our airport, which is bring into service under the name of Nevşehir-Tuzköy International Airport, in order to meet high potantial tourism of Cappadocia Region that is considered as 8th wonder of world and one of our country`s most important historical and tourist centers, was changed into Nevşehir-Kapadokya Airport, and declared as international border crossing as published in the Official Journal No. 235 556 on 17 th December .

It is 30 km away from the city center, 11 km away from town center. Transportation is provided with bus, minibus and taxi operations. Cappadocia Airport in Nevşehir and in addition to surrounding provinces is the opening-door to civil air transport

Nevsehir Cappadocia Airport is one of the 12 international airports which are operated by General Directorate of State Airports. In current position, it has every kind of civil – military standards to serve international traffic infrastructure, superstructure, equipped with facilities and technical equipment, according to the classification criteria of international civil aviation organization (ICAO),it serves according to the qualification of Category I (CAT – I) and 24 hour basis.

Domestic terminal with a size of 1500 m2 , international terminal with a size of 2000 m2 , concrete runway with a size of 3000X45 m2, apron with size of 240×120 mt., apron with a capacity of 5 aircraft (large body), taxi-way with 238×24 meters, Fire Brigade Building, radiant center, power station, Repair – Maintenance Workshop, cafeteria of staff exist and it is is based on the total area of 2495500 m2.

In addition to these, Meteorological Station, Mobile, and the POAS Refueling Facility, park with a capacity 400 car parking
exist in the airport.

Also, construction of block-tower installations and Garage Building have been completed and it has been under service since May 2006.

Our airport, as it is depending on General Directorate of State Airports Authority , is managed by General Director of Airport,
assistant General Director of Airport and 7 division managers.

In the airport, currently, total of 128 staff are employed. Also,21 personnel is under service of Technical Operation Support Services, and 22 personnel is under service of Cleaning Services which was purchased by our administration.

Environmental safety and security is provided with 64 safety and security officer of Private Security Organization.

Our airport which is open to Traffic 7 days a week , everyday ISTANBUL ISTANBUL-NEVŞEHIR-scheduled domestic flights by THY exist . In summer season , tourist charter flights and international flights from Spain, Greece and other countries exist.
